It began in 1997 with a drawing of Spider-Man. Inspired by some of the works of Alex Ross + other comic book artists, artist Howard Hallis decided to draw as many superheroes as he could in one picture. Soon Howard began adding all the cartoon characters, rock stars, movie stars, space ships, video game characters, fantasy buildings, historical + religious figures + any other type of mythological iconography he could think of. This grew into The Picture of Everything, a work spanning 13 years. In 2011 La Luz de Jesus Gallery exhibited The Picture of Everything; it barely fit in the gallery it was so tall! The picture continues to grow + will expand 1/3 larger in size by 2023.
An edition of 420, this is a high resolution print on 10pt. cardstock matte paper. Each print is signed + numbered by the artist. Measures 27 x 39 inches. We only have a few left, so don’t wait too long!
